On Christmas Day 2013, I was doing dishes. Put the LAST dish away and it shattered in my hand! Long story short, I cut my thumb deeply. Ended up severing the nerve! We don't realize who much we USE that thumb until we CAN'T! Pressure, feeling...gone.
Thanks to Dr. Jacobs and his fine skills, sewed my nerves back together! (didn't know you could do that!?) It took several months for growth and feeling to begin coming back, but I now have feeling back in my thumb, I have pressure sensitivity and the most important...I can FUNCTION! It's not perfect, but at least I can button my pants, pick up a cup, tell if it is being burned by something HOT, etc. Not to mention, I'm a pianist, biker, teacher, dirt bike rider...all of which are pretty tough to do without the use of a thumb. (dumb) I think over time it will still continue to improve.
I'm so grateful to have the use of all FIVE of my digits back! THANKS!

Dr. Roberts changed my life! I had a MakOPlasty to relieve constant knee pain in 2010 and it now is pain free all the time. The recovery for me was slow, but I was probably trying to do too much too quickly. I would highly recommend the entire Rebound team for this procedure for anyone who is living through knee pain and doesn't need to!

I am happy to say that I was able to walk the Portland Marathon exactly one year after my last hip replacement. I love being active and pain free!

Dr. Roberts suggested knee replacement as long ago as 10 years but finally had it done after retiring in Aug. 2014. Knee replacement is not easy but certainly made better with the care and precautions taken by Dr. Roberts and physical therapy. After 3 months I started golfing again and walking miles each day. My father and son both had Dr. Roberts do knee surgeries over the last 20 years. All were successful. I love no pain and activity is back to normal! Thank you!

Dr. Sparling and his staff at Rebound (Vancouver) provided exceptional care for total hip replacements (left and right) in 2013 and 2014. Within a month of the 2014 surgery I was able to begin an exercise program using an elliptical trainer and lost 15 lbs in 3 months and fit into jeans that had been too tight for several years. The surgery preformed by Dr. Sparling allowed me to return to a more active lifestyle that I thought was lost after retirement.

After a devastating slalom waterski crash and a bad first surgery in Lewis county, Dr Woll did an amazing surgery on my Achilles and lateral tendon so I could ski again! Then, training to ski tournaments again, I tore a meniscus. Back to Rebound and Dr. DaSilva fixed that. Skiing again as good as before the accident, thank you so much!!! I live and work to ski, other doctors didn't seem to care about my passion, Rebound does!

I tore my ACL on my right knee and had my ACL replaced in January of 2013. Dr. Ellis performed the surgery on my knee and did a wonderful job. After about 10 months of recovery I returned to play ultimate Frisbee. Thank you again!
