Rebound Patients Not Affected by Meningitis Outbreak
We know that many of our patients are concerned by recent media reports of fungal meningitis contracted after having epidural steroid injections. At this time, health officials believe that all contaminated medication originated from the New England Compounding Center, a specialty pharmacy in Massachusetts.
The physicians at Rebound Orthopedics & Neurosurgery believe our patients’ safety to be paramount. We have never used, and do not currently use, any medication of any kind originating from the New England Compounding Center. Therefore, Rebound patient who have received steroid injections from a Rebound physician are not at risk for this type of meningitis.
