David W. Fitz, M.D.

Dr. David Fitz is a board-certified fellowship-trained adult reconstruction surgeon dedicated to creating a personalized experience to help his patients achieve their goals quickly and safely. He understands that each person is unique, and uses the most appropriate evidence-based treatments to get his patients back on their feet.

Dr. Fitz graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and literature from Harvard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He then attended Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois, for his Doctor of Medicine degree. Remaining in Chicago, Dr. Fitz underwent a general surgery internship followed by his orthopedic surgery residency at the McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University. During the last year of his residency, he received a Health Volunteers Overseas traveling fellowship and spent 6 weeks working global health in Moshi, Tanzania. Dedicating an additional year to extensive training, he completed a fellowship in adult reconstruction at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School.

Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Fitz is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Orthopaedic Research Society. He knew he wanted to become a doctor after seeing the day-to-day impact one can have in a patient’s care.

Coming from a long line of physicians, Dr. Fitz believes in a personalized approach to offer patients an experience that is uniquely defined to their goals as well as evidence-based and appropriate for their overall treatment. It is his greatest goal to help each and every patient live the life they love fully. Whether hitting the slopes, hiking the trails, or simply walking the dog, Dr. Fitz is committed to keeping his patients active and performing at their best.

When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Fitz enjoys traveling with his wife, taking care of his Samoyed, and enjoying the outdoor beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
